Growing up in the wild landscape of Northern British Columbia, Melanie was intimately connected to the natural world. The earth’s rhythms, the forest’s secrets, and the delicate balance of life and death were all woven into the fabric of her being. Like every old story that has somehow earned its keep, somewhere along her journey, she got lost and wounded by normative culture, toxic romantic entanglements, and spiritual abuse. In navigating these shadows, she discovered that healing these wounds required her to confront the darkness within her own life. Through nurturing connections with herself, supportive people, the grounding embrace of the Earth, and the guiding presence of spirit, she uncovered and embodied her own personal medicine.
As a counsellor, Melanie is dedicated to sharing the wisdom and medicine that helped her find her way back home. She is passionate about bringing together ancient knowledge and modern techniques to create a rich framework for of healing and growth. Her practice combines a range of approaches, including culturally responsive and socially just counselling, person-centered therapy, depth psychology, ecopsychology, somatic practices, ancestral and earth medicine, soul work, dreamwork, ceremony, and sacred craft.
Her practice is a sanctuary of safety and support, a space for individuals to be fully seen and heard. Melanie is dedicated to guiding others through the sacred journey of self-discovery and healing, emphasizing a process of deep transformation rather than a quick fix. She is here to help individuals navigate the twists and turns of life, reconnecting them with their own sacred longing and find their own medicine.
